Festival season is coming to an end, *dabs tears from eyes* but it ain't over till the fat lady sings (as they say), since we still have Electric Picnic. Across the pond at the weekend was the famous V-Festival.

Now, if any of you were at the festival, please do share your comments. Unfortunately, we were all washing our hair at the weekend here in EI Towers, so we couldn't make it over. Nonetheless, I have managed to scramble the net and the papers *flings the tabloids in the air* to bring you a wee round up of what went on.

First off, one of the biggest stories of the weekend was that of Oasis pulling out of their performance after Liam G was said to have Laryngitis. The news came as a shock to fans who then had to watch Snow Patrol instead of the Manchester band, but I'm sure they did just as good a job. However, if Liam was struck down with this throat infection, it still doesn't stop us sceptics wondering if it was actually the rift between the bros that was the real reason for their non-show. There was last weeks slagging match on twitter and in the press, then they went to see a football game on Saturday, but sat at either ends of the stadium, according to The Sun. The pair apparently don't even fly together, but that could be just that Noel knows what Liam's like on flights. Next up, our favourite girl of the moment, who we love to hate, Amy Winehouse. She made a surprise and sober appearance on stage with The Specials and sang ( an unrehearsed version of) You're Wondering Now. This may now reignite her taste buds for life on stage, and it has to be said, she looked alright, but there were a few boos from the crowd as she said "Yawright, yawright".

Regular festival goers Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson were seen boozing until the small hours, that was until Charlotte went to bed; but her other half stayed up all night with a few jugs of Pimms in hand. He's hardcore.

Last weekend also showed us Lily Allen is a massive cricket fan. She congratulated the English team on winning the ashes - especially that fine specimen that is Freddie Flintoff and felt the need to tweet some words of encouragement for the team.

Other news included Katy Perry having her hand glued to her “ladies” while she jumped up and down like a "rock star". I would also like to know what she was thinking while in the wardrobe and hair department. The Script guitarist Mark commented on how last year they played on the new bands stage and this year they were one of the main acts, "I'm like and excitable big kid". Finally, Jack Tweed was also spotted in a hot tub with one of his mates having a very good time, still in mourning then Jack yeah?
