Believe it or not, there's a thriving business in having unicorns show up to birthday parties for little children.
We say unicorn, we're essentially talking about a very photogenic pony with a plastic appendage in the shape of a horn attached to its head. Anyway, Juliette - that's the unicorn's name - was supposed to play nice and stand for pictures at a party in Madera, California.
However, Juliette clearly wasn't interesting in any of that and managed to jump the fence and escape. It wasn't the first time either. She made an attempt earlier in the night, however her second attempt was successful. So successful, in fact, that a police helicopter had to be deployed to track down the wayward magical horse.
The unicorn's owner, five-year old Tatum Boos, said that Juliette most likely got a little scared and decided to take a walk to call off. Here's her adorable news report on the whole thing.
Thankfully, Juliette the Unicorn was found after a three-hour search, which police noted just how crafty and stealthy the horned horse was. Tatum's mother, Sandra, explained that Juliette the Unicorn "was kind of running amok in some orchards with some white blooms. So, she kind of blended in with the scenery."
It's a horse. With a horn attached to its head. That's not exactly blending, Sandra. Come on.
