There was bad news last night for UFC fans with the announcement that Jose Aldo had to pull out of the his fight against Conor McGregor on July 11th, but there was also some good news mixed in there too with the news that UFC will return to Ireland with a huge show later this year.

The event will take place on Saturday October 24th at the 3 Arena, with tickets going on sale on September 4th, and if it's anything like last time, they will sell out pretty quick. Before he left the UFC last month, Senior VP of Europe, The Middle East and Africa Dave Allen confirmed that the organisation would be returning to these shores, but gave no further concrete details.

No fights have been confirmed or lined up for the night, but given that McGregor will still be in action against  Chad Mendes later this month, it is unlikely that he will feature. However, other Irish fighters in the UFC such as Cathal Pendred, Neil Seery and Joseph Duffy are all likely to be involved.
