*removes jaw from floor* In the middle of all the #coybig tweets last night, 18 year old Jessica-Jane caused quite the Twitter furore when she alerted the world to her lack of geographical learning. As you’d expect, twitter heads jumped on the opportunity with the comment being retweeted hundreds of times.
She went on to try and backtrack with the equally controversial defense that she actually meant Wales. Queue further backlash from Welsh twitter users.
Jessica-Jane has since closed her account. Probably for the best eh Jessica? Below is a screengrab with a snippet of the conversation.
Then again, while we jest (and get very defensive when people include The Republic of Ireland as part of the UK), it is worth pointing out that she's still a teenager and perhaps just needs to attend another one or two Geography exams. So let's not be too hard on her, shall we?
