Well this doesn't come as much as a shocker. Tulisa has caused quite the controversey since pulling this gang sign for a photo, leading the rest of us to believe that she has aligned herself with the notorious north-west London gang Crime Scene Boys, also known as the Church Road Soldiers. The Sun tell us that this group have long been linked to gun violence and drug dealing in the London Area. Fine young chaps don't ya think?
Back for take two on the X Factor, the N Dubz star has been working under the thumb of Simon Cowell for quite some time now and we're sure he'll be just delighted to hear about this. The Sun's spin on it suggests that Tulisa made the C symbol to the camera in an attempt to "raise her street cred by appearing in a video shoot on a London estate."
Harlesden in North London is where Tulisa was filming, the neighbourhood where the gang is based. She was filming a promo for another track on which rapper Nines features. No doubt it will be a melodic delight to please the ears. Although, I may as well admit, her last song was a little bit catchy. Don't judge me...
Apparently a passer by witnessed Tulisa's tut-tut worthy carry on and said: "She was strutting around throwing gang signs and hanging around outside the blocks of flats... She was swearing and trying to fit in with the other peolpe who were around her from the estate."
We know she's got a certain amount of inner chav going on but it seems like this Nines fella is the one who's been the influencer here. He's pulled the 'C' sign quite a few time in his own videos and apparenrtly he raps about drug money, guns and violence.
Anyhoo, the Daily Mail have since come along to report that Tulisa, 23 denies all knowledge of what the sign means. In an official statement Miss Contostavlos said:
'When I was holding my hands in the C sign, this was as a tribute to Camden, my home town and where N-Dubz began." Hmm, coincidence or not? Do people from Camden often make 'c' symbols in photos? Not that I'm aware of anyway.
The X Factor judge continued: 'I am not aware that this sign has anything to with any street gang and I 100 per cent do not endorse any gang violence in any form.'
I for one can't decide which is worse (or more annoying): this 'c' symbol or that awful 'Female Boss' salute she does on the X Factor. Either way, she's certainly practising what she preaches in that last song, Young.
