Nathan Cirillo, the soldier who was killed in the Ottawa attacks this week, is being fondly remembered by all those who knew him, and is receiving tributes from Canada and all over the world.
The street outside his home in Hamilton, Ontario has also become a place for those who want to pay their respects to come and visit, to leave flowers as a mark of their grief, and to show that his passing has touched the nation as a whole.
Reporting from there, many people have shared the heartbreaking image of his two dogs, poking their noses out from underneath the fence, and seemingly awaiting the return of Cirillo.
