"Did you just lob the gob?"
The Ireland AM studio has seen plenty of unexpected moments on its sofa over the years, but one of the best came this morning - thanks to our own Brian Lloyd.
Entertainment.ie's film critic was on the Virgin Media morning show with American comedian Tim Heidecker, who plays Vicar Street tonight.
If you're familiar with Heidecker's comedy, you'll be aware that his style is both unapologetically surreal and off-the-cuff - and as Brian was explaining what a big fan he is of 'On Cinema at the Cinema', the podcast where Heidecker parodies film critics - the comedian decided to show his appreciation by essentially lobbing the gob.
Or was it Brian who made the first move? Either way, neither of them backed down and a full-blown smooch ensued.
Having since pressed Brian for an official statement on the incident, all he will say is that "a gentleman doesn't kiss and tell", but admitted that Heidecker was indeed "very sound".

A beautiful moment in television.
