A victory against England is still a big achievement for any of their near neighbours, even in lawn bowls it seems.
We all know, of course, that lawn bowls is not exactly the roughest of sports and doesn't have the same sort of intense supporters that say, for example, football would, but that doesn't mean that Alex Marshall, of the Scottish team was going to tone down his celebrations when he made a key shot to get him and his partner in the pairs into the final this morning, beating their next-door neighbours on the way.
It was a sweet victory over the English pair, but his celebration was directed at a bunch of fans who had apparently been giving him grief, according to The Telegraph.

We're not sure that this would catch on in football, as it may well result in a fine, but we still like it. 'Gerrit up ye', as they say.
