Mexico's Popocatépetl volcano erupted yesterday morning and it was captured on camera
If the scariest thing that's ever happened to you on a plane has been some slight turbulence, count yourself lucky that you weren't on this flight.
Picture the scene: you're off on your holidays, sipping your warm wine and eating your cold Pringles from the drinks trolley. You're daydreaming about all the cocktails you're going to have when suddenly you look out the window to see a volcano erupting in the distance. Bit of a buzzkill.
Passengers flying near Mexico's Popocatépetl volcano had a literal bird's eye view of it erupting - yes, that's right, erupting - yesterday morning, and the footage is pretty unbelievable.
Would you like to be anywhere near a volcano when it's erupting? Probably not - and particularly not inside a metal flying contraption when there's a plume of scorching ash being flung 10km into the air.
Not something you see every day, that's for sure.
