Nominative determinism is an interesting thing, but perhaps in this case, it was just a little bit off.

Sometimes, you can't help but think that there's a connection between a person's name and what they do, like the fact that Usain Bolt is a sprinter, or that Rich Ricci is a CEO and millionaire, or that Samantha Bond played the role of Ms. Moneypenny alongside Pierce Brosnan. There's got to be something there, right?

Well, probably not. There are so many more examples of people doing something totally unrelated to the their name (more or less everybody else in the world), but when it comes to perfect alignment of the moon or planets or whatever, it's going to be hard to beat this guy's story: his name is Sam Sung, and he works for Apple.

Well, he used to anyway as a specialist at one of their stores in Vancouver, but he's found a new gig and is moving on, so he's auctioning off his work uniform and his ID card (autographed, of course) that says 'Sam Sung, Apple Specialist', which is definitely a collector's item.

The auction is all for charity, as the proceeds from the auction will go to local branch of The Children's Wish Foundation. They may be in line for a decent windfall too because thanks to the extra publicity that this has garnered online, the latest bid for the piece of memorabilia is over $5,000 (€3,736), which is a decent wedge for the prize on offer.

We can only imagine the amount of jokes he used to get from customers who got close enough to read his name tag. Next they'll be hiring someone called HTC...
