We're sorry to break it to you, but we don't make the rules - ABBA's seminal 1976 hit, 'Dancing Queen', has been ruined thanks to Theresa May and her bizarre entrance at this year's Conservative Party conference.
The embattled British Prime Minister strutted onto the stage to the gloriously joyful refrain from the Swedish hitmakers, unaware that she was well and truly wrecking any chance of enjoying the song in the future without referring back to this awful moment in history. Needless to say, the choice of song wasn't exactly well met by Twitter.
Just for reference, here's the video in question. Remember - you will not be able to enjoy 'Dancing Queen' ever again.

The song choice presumably comes from some on-camera moments of Theresa May awkwardly dancing along with children at press events, no doubt prompting some savvy political operator within the Conservative establishment to suggest 'Dancing Queen' as her entrance music.
Oh yes, of course, why not? She likes to dance, she's the PM, 'Dancing Queen' is the way to go. Yes, it makes complete sense. So, how'd it go down online?
Let's take a look.

Listen, if you're going to walk out to something in this political climate in the United Kingdom, here's a good choice.
