News broke in the early hours of this morning that the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton had been taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labour.
It has now been announced that at 11.01 this morning she gave birth to a baby boy, weighing 8lbs 7oz.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.
The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.
The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

Prince William was present at the birth and both mother and baby are doing well, while the Kensington Palace Twitter account has posted that the queen, and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.
No name as of yet but the bookies current favourites are Albert, Philip or Arthur.
