Forbes has revealed the highest paid celebrities of the past year.
Sean Combs aka Diddy aka P. Diddy aka Puff Daddy came out on top having earned $130 million over the last 12 months. His success is down to his recent US tour, a marketing deal with a vodka company, and selling one third of his Sean John clothing line.
Coming in second is Beyoncé who accumulated $105 million over the year thanks to her ‘Formation’ tour and the release of Lemonade. In third place is JK Rowling with $95 million, whose success can be attributed to the success of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
In spite of women taking second and third place in Forbes' list, they account for only 16 out of the top 100 highest paid celebrities. Among the women is the youngest member on the list Kylie Jenner, a newcomer to the top 100 at age 19. It was also a female celeb who suffered the largest fall year-on-year - Taylor Swift, which is mostly due to the singer not touring.
Musicians made up half of the top 10 while athletes and authors also made the cut. The top 10 are as follows:
1. Sean "Diddy" Combs - $130m
2. Beyonce Knowles - $105m
3. JK Rowling - $95m
4. Drake - $94m
5. Cristiano Ronaldo - $93m
