He might be an absolute badass on screen but off screen The Rock comes across as such an affable fellow that it really is hard to imagine him getting into a nasty bout of fisticuffs.
However, the Fast 8 star shared a story in Sports Illustrated this month about a time he came to blows with former Miami Hurricanes teammate and friend, Kevin Patrick.
Me and Kevin were in a coach's office, and he was talking s---, as always, but this time I just lost it. It was like a movie fight—the desk got turned over, stuff was flying all over the place. We spilled out onto the weight room floor, still going at it. He wouldn't stop talking, so I decided to pull his tongue out. I stuffed my big ol' hand into his mouth, and I had a couple of fingers around his tongue, but it was so damn slippery! I was quite serious about pulling it out, but I couldn't quite get a hold of it. Eventually I gave up, the fight ended, and two minutes later we were hugging each other. It was so dumb
Pull his tongue out? That feels very out of character and according to Patrick, it didn't go down that way. The now Texas Tech University Football coach responded on Twitter by saying that The Rock wouldn't have been able to take Patrick's tongue without losing something of his own.
I love my brother but one thing is for sure. If he tried, he'd currently be a fingerless actor. #TheUFamily @TheRock

Patrick expanded when speaking with The Palm Beach Post.
“I don’t give a s— what he says,” said Patrick. “We got in a fight. There’s no doubt. We tore that place apart. But he never stuck his hand in my mouth.”
Patrick said the pair don't speak regularly but are on very friendly terms and he even credits The Rock with saving his marriage.
“He helped me get back with my wife,” said Patrick. “He doesn’t know that.”
Patrick had broken up with his then girlfriend, Rachel back in 2000. Realising the error of his ways, he tried to win her back by bringing her on a shopping trip. It was there that the pair bumped into The Rock who was wrestling nearby that night.
The Rock was thrilled to see his former teammates and asked if they wanted front row tickets for the show.
“She was shocked as hell. It was The Rock. Everyone was amazed that I knew The Rock.”
They obviously had a great time at the show because they made up and married a year later. The couple now have two daughters.
“She was ready to go back home,” Patrick said. “If he wasn’t there that day, and gave us front-row tickets, I don’t know what would have happened.”
