After much speculation, the lineup for the GAA panel on Sky Sports has been confirmed.

As was widely thought, Rachel Wyse will be involved, fronting the coverage alongside Brian Carney, who covers Rugby League for Sky at the moment. The panel, however, has managed to pull some big hitters, with Jamesie O’Connor and Nicky English, both All-Ireland winners, set to analyse and co-commentate on hurling respectively.

Peter Canavan had also been rumoured to be involved in the football coverage, which has turned out to be true as he will be the lead analyst. He will be joined by Paul Earley, who will assume co-commentator duties for the summer.

Dave McIntyre of Newstalk and Mike Finnerty who was involved in TV3's coverage will be the commentators for both hurling and football, completing the team for the coverage of 20 games that will appear on the station in this year's Championship, including the semi-final and finals.

On the pitch between them, the team has amassed both Footballer and Hurler of the Year awards, 17 All Star awards and six All Ireland titles across the two sports, so there's no doubting their qualifications for the job.
