Don’t know about you, but we’re always looking for lunch ideas - mainly because we’re diligent sorts who, more often than not, eat at our desks. We know you do too… ‘Al desco’ dining is all the rage, dahling.

It’s grand and handy to scarf a heavily stuffed baguette during the winter months, but now that the sun’s made something of a reappearance, we know we could be herding ourselves down to Dollymount strand at any given moment. In other words, it’s time to address the slightly wobbly bits we've been hiding under layers for the last seven months.

So, we were thinking, wouldn’t it be handy if there was something quick, healthy, tasty, and about 425 calories? Could it also be chock full of protein so we’d be stuffed ’til tea time?

Well, there is. It’s called the John West Steam Pot and it’s coming at you in no less than six flavours; there’s an Italian one with basil and sun-dried tomatoes; there’s the spicy one with chilli, garlic and red pepper; an oriental one boating soy, ginger and mushroom; a light one with lemon and thyme on a bed of tomato and black olive couscous - need we go on? OK, there’s also one with coriander, cumin and lime. The gob’s watering.

Now here’s the science bit. Just go to a shop, buy one, find a kettle, slosh some boiling water into the pot of couscous, wait 5 minutes for it to ‘fluff’, and then mix in the pot of tuna. How’s that for convenience.

Yer regular ham 'n cheese is looking a little flat right about now, ain't it... You’re welcome.
