Desperate to stay in the headlines, Amanda Bynes has had yet another nose job. Tragic, isn't it? Wouldn't this just put you off ever forcing your kids into stardom at such a young age? Just look at how they end up; more of these kids fall off the rails than stay on them (I'm sure there's some stats to back this up but whatevs, just roll with me). All we have to do is take a look at Amanda here, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Macauly Culkin, Corey Feldman, Drew Barrymore (though thankfully she managed to get back UP on the wagon after a few years), Justin Bieber (who's probably about to hit his meltdown stride any minute now) and more, to realise how stardom at a young age can be more of a curse than a blessing.
Still though, it's this kinda shtick that sells the red tops. What is it about a celebrity going batsh*t crazy that we find so enthralling?
The 27-year-old star told gossip website TMZ.com: 'I'm getting one more in 3 weeks, they are short amazing surgeries done while I'm awake but under general anesthesia. It's almost perfect.'
Explaining why she's chosen not to wear a bandage, she said: 'I have no bandage on. It's healing on it's own like my doctor asked.'
Bynes placates the eager photographers who can't get a pic of her without her hand shielding her mug: ''I'll stop hiding it once it doesn't look so awful in photos.''
The 'She's The Man' star revealed she had her first nose job last month, claiming she went under the knife to remove skin that was growing between her nose and her eyes.
She was initially very happy with the results and shared the news on Twitter, writing: 'I had a nose job to remove skin that was like a webbing in between my eyes. Having surgery was the most amazing thing for my confidence!
'I wasn't going to tell anyone, but I look so much prettier in my new photos that I don't want old photos used anymore! I'm so sick of magazines and blogs using old photos! When will they stop? I will never look like that again!'
The sad thing is (as shitty girly romcoms go) She's The Man was actually quite a good movie, she could have really become something but alas, it was not to be. A mainstay across the red tops will be the height of it. Unless she pulls a Britney on it and comes back as some talent show host in a number of years.
