The giants on rap have been called
Pepsi, sponsors of the 2022 Half Time show taking place during the 56th Super Bowl, have released a trailer for the upcoming performance.
The show will bring some of the biggest rap and R&B artists of the last few decades in what's sure to be a massive spectacle.
The ad features Snoop, Eminem, Blige, Dre and Lamar all going about their business and receiving "The Call" to meet at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California for the game.
While all the others arrive in supercars and private jets, Lamar comes riding in on a bike, sticking to his 'Humble' nature, of course. At least someone was thinking about the environment..
F. Gary Gray ('Straight Outta Compton') directed the video. The director said of the ad, "Each time I collaborate with Dre, it seems to mark an important moment in entertainment history, from projects like 'Friday', 'Set It Off', 'Straight Outta Compton', to now the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI halftime show.
"As a super fan, I consider it an honour and privilege to authentically build and create this moment with five of the most legendary artists in music history. It’s been a blast!"
The 2022 Super Bowl will take place on February 13.
