Next time you think of ignoring that phone call from your mum, you'd better think twice...
A mother of two from Texas has decided that she'd had enough of her children ignoring her calls and has decided to turn their smartphones against them by coming up with a new app called Ignore No More.
With the app installed on the phone, a aprent who wants an answer when they call will be able to more or less shut down everything on the device, leaving kids with two options: either call them back, or make an emergency call. The parent can set a password which would unlock the phone, so that makes sure that kids will call back quickly, or else they have none of the functionality of their phones available to them.
Ms. Standifird, who came up with the app along with developers and designers, has found that it's pretty popular amongst parents who were annoyed at not being able to contact their kids, but her own son, Bradley, wasn't a huge fan: "I thought it was a good idea, but for other people, not me.”
Sure isn't that the way we all feel about discipline, young Bradley? So there you go, next time your mum asks to see a picture on your phone or just "have a quick look at it", keep a close eye to make sure she's not installing this lovely app on your device. You'll never be abe to get out of Sunday dinner again...
