The following comes from NBC Los Angeles:
"'I want my children,' Rowe said during a 90-minute phone conversation Thursday morning with NBCLA's Chuck Henry. She said she would seek a restraining order to keep Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, away from the children. The agreement does allow for visitation, but Rowe said it's a very difficult process. She said if she misses a visitation date, it is difficult to reschedule with the Jacksons. 'I am stepping up,' Rowe said. 'I have to.' Rowe said she was still grieving. She said she decided she had to seek custody after Jackson's death. 'We had an agreement... he didn't keep his end,' Rowe said, referring to Jackson's death. Rowe said she was concerned about splitting up the children. She said she did not expect the court to grant custody of the third child, but added that she would be willing to accept custody."
Well, that's hardly surprising given the three kids are set to inherit a fortune.
As always, we have some other Michael Jackson rumours:
1: His funeral is to take place on Tuesday, with a memorial taking place at L.A.'s Staples Center arena. "Giant screens will be set up outside the vast 20,000-seater stadium - home of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team - for mourners who cannot get in". Seemingly AEG thought of charging people "$20 to attend the service. Fans accused organisers of ripping them off. One fumed: 'If it is true, I am truly disgusted'."
2: According to The Sun: "Jacko's family had to persuade the Barnum & Bailey Circus to delay setting up at the stadium for a run of shows so the memorial could be held there. A circus insider said: 'It's exceptional circumstances. I'm sure Michael will be looking down with a smile and love the insanity of a funeral surrounded by tigers and spectacular performing animals'."
3: Michael's coffin is a "custom-made solid bronze coffin - called a Promethean - has been ordered from the Batesville Casket Company." It's plated with 14 carat gold and retails at $25k. It's the same one James Brown was buried in. It seems like a bit of a waste considering where it's headed, but sure it's the estate's money.
4: Michael Jackson attempted to relieve "Octomom" of some of her octuplets. Her publicist, Victor Munoz said: "When Michael called I thought it was a joke at first. I was getting hundreds of calls every day and many from celebrities’ agents saying their client wanted to help. But when the person on the end of the line said 'Hi it's Michael Jackson' I was a bit taken aback. Michael wanted to know how the babies were, how Nadya was coping. He then said he could take care of the children if Nadya couldn't. It was creepy. He was basically offering to buy the children. I was a bit shocked."
5: Frankie Boyle, of Mock The Week fame, has quit his column in the Daily Record because his editors thought his quips regarding Jackson were inappropriate. Boyle posted on his website: "Oh dear. Had to quit my Daily Record column over a moral disagreement. We disagreed over whether it was okay to make jokes about a dead child molester." In response, stand-up Richard Herring commented: "I think laughing in the face of horrible and tragic death is an appropriate response and actually much less offensive than the TV coverage, or the hysteria of people eulogising someone that they didn't know and never met. If Jackson had lived an exemplary life then it might have been less dignified to joke so quickly, but to be conferring sainthood on this man without any dissenting voices would be just as wrong."
