There have been a ridiculous amount of rumours and speculation the past week or so about Kim and Kanye, with very little actually confirmed, but it does now seem that the newly married couple are absolutely on these shores, with the latest news (via the Limerick Leader) that they stayed in the plush Castle Oliver near the border of Cork and Limerick.
Now we had the pleasure of attending a wedding there a year ago and spent a couple of days in the castle; it's a gorgeous, huge, red brick building that is located in a fairly remote part of the country.
There is a small village nearby and some holiday homes; but they're very much within the woods and high end - there are very few caravans knocking around. With the locals incredibly warm and personable.
Castle Oliver itself is beautifully rustic and has been restored a few times; we got a guided tour of the wine cellar, and heard stories about it being haunted. Sure, what Irish castle isn't.
Safe to say it's an incredible castle with some beautiful scenery; if we were rich and had some relatives over, it's absolutely where we'd take them - so it's sound for Kim and Kanye.
At least this way, if they manage to get pregnant and name the kid after the place Oliver makes a bit more sense...
