Of the new film's prospective "plotline", the actress said: "How do we address these economic times in a franchise that has a lot to do with luxury and labels? How do we do that well? And how do we do that in a not lazy way? There is a lot that we have to think about because times are very different. So these are nice challenges, these are good challenges... I think we want this one to be a romp. The last one, we got to tell a really mature sophisticated story that had real heartbreak in it, and this time, I think we want a romp. We want our audience to have a massive romp." Presumably from behind, while their sheckles spill onto the floor of their local cinema.
As for the last movie's "mature sophisticated story" - what's mature about inordinate costume changes, or a woman who sh*ts herself, or a women who refuses to leave her five star hotel bedroom for days because her fiance said he had cold feet? For those in possession of perspective, real heartbreak is felt when a loved one departs the planet, not when a future you've built up in your head doesn't quite go to plan. Sure, it's rough, but no one's died. Go sit on the balcony and have a mojeetow, maybe throw another outfit on, sheesh. While you're at it, watch series one to four of SATC and remind yourself of how good it actually was, you know, before you got a producing credit and started making me embarrassed of my gender.
