Good news for Simpsons fans that dreamed of one day walking down the streets of Springfield, picking up a Squishee in the Kwik-E-Mart before munching on a Krusty Burger, because Universal Studios resort in Florida are bringing the yellow world of The Simpsons to life in a brand new theme park area.
Set to open later this year, the area will center around an already existing The Simpsons ride but will include all the favourites from the series, including a Duff brewery, Lard Lad Donuts, Krusty Burger and a Moe's Tavern which we assume will be eateries/drinkeries, The Android's Dungeon comic book shop, Krustyland and a new ride called Kang & Kodos' Twirl 'n' Hurl.
According to Universal: 'For the first time ever - anywhere - fans will be able to walk down Fast Food Boulevard and visit the places that helped Springfield stake its claim as 'Shelbyville by the Sea'.' So clearly they're in on the joke too, which is always a good sign.
Fingers crossed we'll get an Itchy and Scratchy Land experience, even in mini form.
