Dublin Pride 2014 takes place this year from June 15th to 29th and we here at entertainment.ie are very happy to announce that we'll be donning our Pride caps and wearing our rainbow flags as capes for the duration of the festival as we come on board as media sponsors for the capitals biggest and brightest LGBTQ festival.

We've even gone and decked our little ole pal and logo 'eric' in the pride colours, which we'll have flying proudly during the festival too.

The Dublin Pride Festival is the largest LGBTQ pride festival in Ireland, with over 35,000 people coming out to march in flagship event of the festival, the annual Dublin Pride Parade which sees floats and people from all walks of life taking to the streets of the capital.

Initially a one-day event back in 1983, the Dublin Pride Festival has grown to a ten-day festival which celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender culture and life in Ireland today. The first pride parade was held in June, 1983. The parade was organized by the National Lesbian and Gay Federation, and followed a route through the city centre of Dublin, from St Stephen’s Green to the GPO on O’Connell Street. The parade now goes from the Garden Of Remembrance all the way to the Pride Village in Merrion Square, which will hold host to a variety of events including live music and performances in a line-up yet to be announced.

And entertainment.ie will be right here covering it all, with photos fresh from events and all the info you need about what's going on in Dublin's most colourful event of the year. Put those flags up!
