Her song 'The Vow' soundtracked the romantic proposal
RuthAnne Cunningham is no stranger to big gigs.
The Dublin-born pop artist and songwriter - who is also responsible for the Irish Women in Harmony supergroup - has written songs for everyone from Niall Horan to Britney Spears over the years, and her song 'The Vow' has soundtracked many a romantic moment - both in real life and in TVs and films - since it was released in 2018.
However, when 'The Vow' was featured on the final of 'Love Island' in 2019, it brought the song to a whole new audience.
And considering the most enduring love story of that season of 'Love Island' was that of Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, it was only right that RuthAnne should be there to sing it during their proposal.
The pair posted news of their engagement yesterday, with the Irish singer revealing how Fury had enlisted her without his now-fiancee's knowledge. "Molly had no idea and I know how much this song means to them & wow the most stunning location I have ever sang it in," she said in a social media post, adding that it was a "pinch-me moment."
It's believed that Cunningham was flown out to Ibiza to take part in the engagement. Fury and Hague also used the song to soundtrack the news of their gender reveal last year.
It's not the first time she's travelled to an exotic location, however - last year, she sang 'The Vow' for Marvin and Rochelle Humes at their 10-year vow renewal in Italy.
