Actor and comedian Rik Mayall has reportedly passed away, according to the BBC who say his manager confirmed the sad news.

Mayall has starred in and written some of the funniest shows on television; from The Young Ones to Bottom. While his Hollywood feature Drop Dead Fred is widely regarded as a cult favourite.
He lives behind a wife, make-up artist Barbara Robbin and three children.
