The spat between the WAGs rolls on in an increasingly amusing fashion
If you thought the whole Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy drama was going to become yesterday's news, think again. This one has the potential to run for YEARS, at this rate.
After the brief back-and-forth between the WAGs on Wednesday, the conversation went quiet - or at least, they took it behind closed doors.
However, we haven't heard the last in the saga, as Vardy has now done an interview with Mail Online. (She's not doing her reputation for running to the tabloids any favours, is she?)
She revealed that she called R0oney after the tweet, saying "Coleen, what on earth have you done?" Rooney allegedly replied "I'm not pointing the finger", to which Vardy said: "You have just annihilated me in public and hung me out to dry. The whole world hates me!"
When asked if she argued with Coleen, she said: "That would be like arguing with a pigeon. You can tell it that you are right and it is wrong, but it's still going to s*** in your hair."
Vardy maintained her innocence, reiterating that she had given the password to her account to "quite a few people".
"Over the last few years, quite a few people have had access to my Instagram account, including a PR agency and an advertising agency," she said. "And, yes, I have given my password out. It is considered a normal thing to do and I never thought very hard about it. I certainly never thought that something like this could happen, that someone would poach stories about another person via their Instagram."
She added that a 'forensic cybersecurity' team was looking into the matter, and hopes "that we can find out what has actually gone on, that's my aim here. When I do, I will deal with it the right way. I can tell you that I would never, ever have dealt with the situation in the way that Coleen has done, that's for sure."
As for whether she would accept an apology from Rooney for the whole fiasco, she said: "I think it's gone beyond an apology, hasn't it?"
