That's what the 10 people who work for The Sun's showbiz section are staying today, anyway:

"Sugababes recently signed a multi-million pound deal with Jay-Z's label Roc Nation. But Heidi felt they stood more chance of success in the US with someone new and enthusiastic - not Keisha, who rubs people up the wrong way. A source said: 'Keisha clashed with Amelle since she joined. Heidi did not want to be in a position where a big bust-up might arise while they're promoting their material Stateside. So she persuaded management a less headstrong character would be better suited to the group'."

Enter Jade Ewen. AKA 'Walkover'. It didn't take much to get her to wriggle into a pair of chafe-inducing shorts for the new band's new video, and re-record all of Keisha's vocals for their new album (out sometime in November, not arsed mentioning the name).

While The Sugababes are prancing about in a video shoot, original member Mutya has been on GMTV to talk about her views on Keisha being booted out (by way of promoting the timely release of her new single). And she's come up with one cunning stunt:

"Personally, I just don't think the Sugababes is the Sugababes anymore. I mean, it would be different if Keisha had stayed in it and someone else had gone - then it would be the Sugababes. But wow, I suppose now there's no original Sugababes we should just all reform again. It's just a nice thing to know that I still have contact with both of them (the other one being Siobhan Donaghy)... we're all grown up. I haven't been with the Sugababes for so long, and you know, I've had my years of growing up and learning about what I want in life and getting to look after my daughter. So hooking up with the rest of the girls - I think that could be an amazing idea, definitely."

Well, I suppose, if (two thirds of) Bananarama can reform, why not the Sugababes... Although, does the world really need to add another batch of over-produced, scobey looking warblers, smacking their over-sized rings off their auto-tuned microphones?
