Some plant hired to plug both Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole's fashion wares had the following to say:

"Victoria has spent years trying to distance herself from the world of the WAGs that she and Cheryl inhabited when they were friends during the 2006 World Cup. Now she feels as if Cheryl is trying to piggyback on all of her hard work. She knows that her name will be mentioned every time Cheryl designs something, and she doesn't want that. Victoria thinks that Cheryl's range is just a PR stunt and that she's an amateur. She (Cheryl) feels her range will appeal to the younger market, whereas Posh's clothes are too 'old'. Victoria actually thinks Cheryl's just stolen her idea. She'd had a lot of chats with her about her plans for her range - she always said that shoes and bags were the ultimate goal. Now Cheryl's swept in and done shoes. She's lashed out and is saying that Cheryl had no taste anyway. It's not that she feels threatened, it's just that she's worked really hard to be accepted in the highest fashion circles."

Yep, threatened.
