In case you thought that header image looked fake, it's a still from Airplane! and not an actual photo of a plane skidding down a runway.
That said, when you actually see the photos below, it does look like something from a comedy. A Boeing 737 for Pegasus Airways skidded off the runway of Trabzon Airport and dangled precariously over a cliff that fell into the Black Sea.
As you can see in the photos, the damage is pretty extensive to the plane - but, miraculously, there were no fatalities and all passengers were successfully and safely evacuated.
Early reports suggest that the wheels dug into the frozen mud, which stopped it from falling completely into the Black Sea.
