The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado is said to be one of the most haunted buildings in America.

In fact, the gorgeous if imposing hotel is said to have been the inspiration for the Stephen King classic, The Shining. Legend has it that the original owners of the hotel, F.O. and Flora Stanley still go about their business in the afterlife.

Of course there's many buildings throughout the world that have all sorts of stories and myths surrounding them. Where's the proof? Show us some evidence dammit!

Well, there's one tourist that's convinced that he has some and there's a lot of people that are starting to believe him. Henry Yau took a photo of the hotel's staircase while visiting. It wasn't until he examined the photo later that he notice there was something in the frame that he hadn't anticipated.

Most people seem to be in agreement about seeing the silhouette of a woman at the top of the staircase on the left.

While a lot of people might be quick to dismiss the image as photoshopped, a paranormal expert from Denver, Colorado named Kevin Sampron claims that the image doesn't appear to have been altered and is of the opinion that it could be legit. In fact, Sampron thinks that there is another figure (perhaps a child?) standing on the woman's right hand side.

“When we blew up the picture, we immediately saw a second anomaly just to the left of the first figure. To us it looks like the first figure is a lady dressed in black and to the left of her it looks like a child. You see the child’s head clearly outlined over the top of the stair railing … We probably rule out about 95 percent what people think are paranormal or ghosts. This could be a legitimate ghost, as far as we can tell.”

Instagram seems to think it's legit and now there's paranormal experts backing them up. What do you reckon? We're not sure ourselves but we are certain we won't be staying in The Stanley Hotel anytime soon.
