We can safely say that is a headline we'd never thought we'd write and yet we couldn't be happier that we did. 

It's strange that Kate Beckinsale waited until 2016 to reveal that she has a cracking sense of humour but better late than never is what we always say. Already this year Kate has treated us to her greatest ever prank, stories about sending nude photos of Michael Sheen to her daughter and a wonderful comedic performance in Whit Stillman's Love and Friendship. 

None of that however, prepares you for this tweet she sent out today of herself in fancy dress. 

Our favourite part is that she provides absolutely no context what so ever outside of the caption 'Just a girl trying to make it in a man's world...'

Here's hoping she never does.
