Considering it's St. Patrick's Day, all the eyes of the world are on Ireland - and even ones in space.
Thomas Pesquet, an astronaut with the European Space Agency aboard the ISS, captured a picture of Dublin last night from 400 kilometres in orbit around Earth. The image was shared by his colleague, Col. Shane Kimbrough, via his Twitter account that he's able to access aboard the ISS.
So, just to recap, French astronaut takes a picture of Dublin City from a space station floating over us, shares image with American astronaut who then posts it - via the internet - from aforementioned orbital space station. You're probably reading this via a handheld communication device, as well.
Never doubt for one second that we are living in the future.
