Far be it from us here at entertainment.ie to cast aspersions in the direction of Perez Hilton, but the famed, wannabe-celeb made a bit of a boo boo this week when reporting on the antics of Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the Jackass boys while they were shooting some footage for 3e show, Uploaded.
Perezhilton.com reported that some drunk wrong sorts turned up on the set in Temple Bar, and threw a drink over Knoxville; but not so according to Uploaded presenter Gordon Hayden, who told me what actually happened. "The cameraman Tony accidently bumped off him (Knoxville) while he was spinning the camera around." He then added, "A group of junkies showed up after it and that's all the sites are running with." The junkies apparently got a bit wristy with security, and the lads had to get out of there in what Gordon described as "like a scene from Dawn of the Dead." But no one went near Knoxville, and by all accounts the lads had a great time shooting with the 3e crew, and then at the premiere in Dublin's Cineworld on Sunday night.
OK, let me completely contradict the first paragraph there; I can't stand Hilton, who continually makes me dry heave whenever I hear any of his egotistical, bile-ridden ramblings regurgitated on news sites I actually frequent. So, really, I was only too happy to cast aspersions in his direction, the muppet.
