The strange world of sporting mascots got a new member to add to their ranks today in the form of Partick Thistle's Kingsley.
The Scottish club unveiled their new mascot today on Twitter, and while other clubs, such as Arsenal for example, have opted for a cuddly dinosaur that the kids would love, Partick have gone a different direction with their offering.

Legend has it this was a discarded design for a horror movie based on a post-apocalyptic version of The Simpsons, and the more or less universal reaction on Twitter has been to point out that this is a terrifying spectre.
@ThistleTweet @ourbrian @davidshrigley just showed my 8yo daughter it. She cried. Really cried

However, as one fan pointed out, this mascot isn't the worst thing about being a Partick Thistle fan...
