Poor Jennifer Lawrence, falling on her way to the Oscars' stage. Nah, not really; she's far from poor, she's only the 2013 recipient of the Best Actress Oscar gong at the tender age of 22! Really and truly, that girl can do no wrong in our eyes. Her role in Silver Linings Playbook was outstanding so this news this morning comes as no surpise. And we're so sick of actresses whinging into their tissues when accepting their awards, it's nice to see someone have a laugh at their own expense.
Arriving on stage to a standing ovation, before being scooped up by eternal gentleman Hugh Jackman, Lawrence said: "Thank you! These guys are just standing up because they feel bad that I fell, and it's really embarrassing! This is nuts... Thank you to the Academy and to the women... not just those in my category, you've been so nice and this has been unforgettable."
We tell ya, it's few girls could call flat on their faces - in a big meringue dress, we might add - and shake it off with as much coolness as Miss Lawrence did. If the rumours about herself and her co-star Bradley Cooper are true - we hope so, what a powerful pairing that would be - he's one lucky dude.
You can watch the whole thing here, however YouTube clips are only beginning to surface online so apologies for the rather shaky, grainy quality.
