Poor Olly Murs; so desperate for a girlfriend is he, he actually WANTS to go on that sham of a show they call Take Me Out. Are you really that desperate, Mr Murs? Now I don't claim to be an authority on 21st century dating but I highly doubt that you - being one of the most sought after 'cheeky-chappies' in the pop business, with your boyish good looks and Essex English charm - need to lower yourself to being poked and prodded by a line of tangoed desperados. Sure you already have women throwing their knickers at you day in day out, can you not pick one of them? Oh that reminds me, I'd like them back, thanks.
I remember watching the Irish version of the show (just one time, I swear) when Ray Foley approached this one particular lady to quiz her about what she was looking for in a man. She responded in all seriousness: "someone who's a bit of a ride and who can take a few slaps." REALLY? Is this what the world has come to? Can you imagine if this was the other way around a guy said the same thing?
Anyhoo, it's been reported that the Thinking Of Me star has told his fans how he's been pestering the UK version's host Paddy McGuinness to get him on the show. Whilst performing at Lytham Proms near Blackpool, the 28 year old teased one of his band members for being single saying: "We are in talks with Paddy to get him on Take Me Out. Obviously he's got to join the queue - I'm already at the front."
Olly apparently struggles to find a girlfriend because, he tells The Sun, "the fit ones are going out with someone else."
Nawww, any takers?
