When you think of the history of the pizza, that stretches back long into the celebrated past of Italian cuisine, you are normally left with one striking thought: they made a critical mistake.
What's that mistake, we hear you ask? Well, they forgot to put any bacon on it of course...except for the recipes that actually include bacon or have bacon on top. Listen, let's not get off track here, the point is that someone has finally created a new pizza that has bacon all over it, righting the historical wrong.
Little Caesar's has invented the Bacon Wrapped Crust Deep Dish Pizza (that's right, it's deep dish for extra nutrition) and includes a full yard of bacon wrapped around it. It probably shouldn't exist, but just in case you decided that you want to try it, a single slice contains 450 calories, 23 grams of fat, 830 mg of sodium, and 40 mg of cholesterol, so you'll be in the gym for 12 days straight without sleep to work it off. Even if you only glance at it, you could possibly intake some calories, we have no scientific evidence to suggest otherwise*.
It looks as though the pizza will only be available for a limited time, from February 23rd to April, so if you want to try one then you'll have to head to the US before then. Don't make a special trip or anything though, that would be weird and there are better uses for the money you would spend.
*There probably is no scientific evidence to suggest otherwise, mainly because there's very little funding to research whether or not you can intake calories through your eyes. There's astonishingly little political will to push for this type of research to get done either. We reckon it's either a) because there's a huge conspiracy or b) because it's the stupidest thing anyone has ever said.
