Twitter may not be a perfect place, but sometimes, it's OK.
Although the vast majority of Twitter is made up of awful takes, endless tweets about sports, some truly heinous comments, there are brief glimpses of warmth and humanity to be found.
Yesterday saw the hashtag #nosesforsioda trend across Twitter, with people sharing images of their dogs' noses in honour of the passing of President Michael D. Higgins' dog, Síoda. The Bernese Mountain Dog, one-half of the most recognisable dog duo in the country, passed away following a short illness.
So, in Síoda's honour, people shared their dogs' noses on Twitter. Take a look.
This is the kind of content that Twitter needs more of.

The outpouring of love over the passing of Síoda shows just how beloved the dogs are. They are great ambassadors for Ireland, greeting guests to Áras an Uachtaráin with a wagging tail. From myself and Molly, deepest condolences @PresidentIRL #nosesforsioda #RIPSioda @BrodHiggins pic.twitter.com/Ou5vLXjCxQ
