Since One Direction went on hiatus, Niall Horan has had a lot of free time of his hands. Some of bandmates have kept busy by becoming fathers or getting haircuts, but Niall has been taking things easy and spending with family and new bestie, golfer Rory McIlroy.
Rory is back in Ireland for the Irish Open golf tournament currently taking place at the K Club, but has managed to make time for Niall. Earlier in the week, the Mullingar singer was a guest at Newstalk’s An Evening with Rory McIlroy event, and last night the pair took in the Leinster vs Ulster game at the RDS.
One Direction fans were delighted to see their man out and about, although rugby fans were less impressed about the game’s hashtag being taken over.

Twitter reveals itself as a truly twisted place when the majority of tweets under #LEINvULS are to do with the Irish lad from 1D

In case you can't tell from their facial expressions, Niall's team won. But it's good to know that if the One Direction hiatus ends up being permanent, he can always call up his mate Rory for a job.
