Dubious outfit changes (exhibit A degenerated into exhibit B), Chris Martin enjoying being photographed, crocodile tears a plenty, a not-at-all planted 'streaker' engaging in a very natural conversation with Hayden Panettiere while security looked on, Gary Lightbody's butter fingers, David Guetta emulating an inflated Neil Hannon, the odd Victoria Secret / Sports Illustrated model, Theo Huxtable attempting to promote his BET reality show, The Hoff not looking at all heavily medicated (thankfully he waited until he was backstage before he started humping things), Hollyoaks fodder, alleged members of S Club 7 Lady GaGa winning pretty much everything 'cause she bothered to turn up, and Adam Lambert nailing his very impressive Freddie Mercury impersonation... the MTV EMA's took place in Belfast last night. That translates as, 'The Americans paid a visit to Europe and won all the awards, bar a couple (Queen managed to grab the Global Icon prize, while some Japanese band won something else), isn't that very good of them.'
There's a repeat of last night's totally unpredictable American invasion on MTV at 11.00pm ce soir.
