News was circulating this morning that Miss Germany was not best pleased that Miss Columbia had been unceremoniously de-crowned in favour of Miss Philippines in the most awkward bit of television probably ever televised.

In an interview after the incident involving host Steve Harvey saying the wrong name and effectively dropping the mic, Miss Germany Sarah Lorraine Riek said: "I couldn’t believe it. I was so upset because, for me, she was robbed... I was very happy for Colombia, actually. she really deserved it. But I’m really not happy with the result, and so are the other girls, I’m sorry to say it. Because [none] of us voted for Philippines. I’m so sorry to say it... I really couldn’t believe it, I was so upset. For me, Miss France was the real winner."

Since Miss Germany's view wasn't really well received, the following statement has been released via her Facebook (which is currently "unavailable")

To clarify, the official winner (although no one seems to be winning at this point) - Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach - is half German, so naturally Miss Germany is happy with that.
