German police have seized cocaine with a street value of up to €12 million after the drug was mistakenly sent to a Berlin Aldi store in Banana crates. Of course, Aldi would likely have stuck the drug in their bargain bin for around a tenner but we digress...

140kg of the drug was recovered after somehow the drug smugglers completely got their addresses completely arseways and, instead of disguising their contraband in banana crates and sending to other ne'er-do-wells, it seems they mistakenly attempted to enter the fruit & veg business - inadvertently giving Berlin police their biggest drug find in over twenty years.

Police spokesman Stefan Redlich said: "Employees of supermarkets in Berlin and Brandenburg found boxes that should have been filled with bananas, but in the boxes had been more than 100kg (of) cocaine."

"For Berlin this is the biggest drug find in the last 10 or 20 years. Usually you find such amounts only in the harbours like Hamburg. For Berlin this is extraordinary," he said.

That shit is bananas, we're sure you'll agree.
