After months of turmoil, twerking and rumour, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Done. Finished. Kaput.
It was reported yesterday that they were on a Ross and Rachel style 'break', and last night representatives for both Miley and Liam have confirmed they are no longer engaged.
According to People magazine, they have been told by reps that Miley and Liam's relationship is officially over. It was previously said the couple - who have had a 'tumultuous relationship' - were 'exhausted' and things weren't looking good for their romance. A source had said: 'They've split for now. Miley and Liam have a very tumultuous relationship and both are exhausted. It's a complicated relationship. The wedding is on hold, for now. It's not cancelled but it doesn't look promising.'
People on Team Hemsworth say that he really tried to stay for Miley, but the new look and attitude mixed with the VMA performance was just too much, saying: 'Liam really does care about Miley, but her racy new look and sort of ghetto attitude isn't exactly what he signed up for.' Her VMAs performance absolutely mortified him and he couldn't be more embarrassed. He doesn't really see anything sexy about what she did on stage.'
Miley is said have called off her engagement to Liam after months of alleged arguments over her new image and provocative behaviour, saying in recent interviews that she doesn't have time to get married and telling Harper's Bazaar magazine: 'I definitely don't have time to deal with a wedding right now. But I will at some point.'
