While Google have been concentrating hard on making Glass for everyone, Microsoft are hoping that we're more interested in looking at holograms instead.
For the last while, Microsoft has not been the coolest of tech companies making cutting edge products that everyone wants, but with a raft of announcements made earlier this week, that might be about to change.
Along with Windows 10, which will be a free download for the first time, they are also going to bring holograms in to our lives, something that we've been dreaming of since the days of seeing R2-D2 project Princess Leia on to a table in Old Ben Kenobi's house.
The idea is that you take what used to be on a screen in front of you in to your surrounding environment through the rather funky looking headset, and they think it will help with everything from DIY to teaching someone how to do surgery. You can create 3D objects, from a model to a toy, interact with it in front of your eyes, and then 3D print it, because we live in the future y'all. They even think it can take us to a hologram version of the surface of Mars, or even further afield as we find out more about our universe..
That's all very admirable, of course, but with the internet being the internet, social media has already started thinking about how this massive technological advance could be of benefit to porn, with both good and bad outcomes predicted.
As sad and as crude as this sounds, but I think the porn industry is going to have a field day with #WindowsHolographic

The porn industry has got to be hard at work on using this Windows Holographic. Mark my words. Porn has driven every other techonology.

We were thinking more about how cool it would be to watch sports on this, in all honesty, but we feel that we're fighting a losing battle...
