Well now that's just great, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones have decided to give it another go. Thank God for their willingness not to throw in the towel, our faith in marriage and love may just have been restored. It was hanging on by a thread for a while there, post Miranda and Orlando, Josh Brolin and Diane Lane, Miley and Liam (no wait, we were happy about that split) and most recently Will Smith and Jada's trial separation.

We just couldn't carry on if all of the celebrity couples who we've pinned our romantic hopes and dreams on were to all but turn to dust. At least we know Jamie and Louise Redknapp are still going strong, the ultimate unbreakable couple, right?

Anyhoo, as for the deets on Dougy and Jones, via Bang Showbiz:

The 69-year-old actor was overheard taking a 'very important' call from his wife who called to wish him luck during his red carpet appearance at the premiere of his latest film ' Last Vegas' in New York City on Tuesday (29.10.13).

According to sources, Michael - who was also spotted wearing his wedding ring - left reporters waiting as he spoke to Catherine.

A source told the New York Daily News' Confidenti@l column: 'She called to wish him good luck and he said, 'Thanks honey.' '

'The only reason she wasn't by his side is because she didn't want to take attention away from the film. It was Michael's night. She wanted to say hello and didn't realise he was on the carpet already.'

The couple - who have two children Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10 - took a temporary 'break' from their 13-year marriage in August but sources claim Michael openly revealed he had reconciled with Catherine, 44, at an after-party later that evening.

A source said: 'He was sitting in the corner with friends and people kept asking what's going on with Catherine, Michael said, 'We are doing great, she's better than ever,' and said their kids are doing great.

'They know they have some problems, but are speaking every day and are scheduling future projects with each other in mind. Both of them are wearing their rings; what more is there to say?'

Catherine has also moved back into their New York apartment.

YAY! Yay for the two of them, yay for the kids, yay for love, yay for us. Happy Friday.
