Michael Conlan has been named the RTE Sports Person of the Year.
In a fiercely competitive list of nominees that included the likes of Paul O'Connell and Conor McGregor, Conlan came out on top after superb 2015. Back in October, the Belfast native became the first ever male Irish boxer to win gold at the World Boxing Championships.
Northern Ireland Manager, Michael O'Neill picked up the Manager of the Year award after guiding his team to qualification for EURO 2016. Team of the Year went to SSE Airtricity Premier Division and FAI Cup double winners Dundalk.
Also on the night, Kilkenny hurling legend Henry Shefflin was inducted into the RTE Sports Hall of Fame.
