Mel 'Sweet Tits' Gibson and the mother of his five-month-old baby have reportedly split after dating for a little over a year. Now that's what we call commitment.
Gibson and Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva went public with their romance after the actor/director's wife of 30 years, and mother of seven of his children, filed for divorce last April (she had little choice but to, considering Mel and Oksana were photographed frolicing at a sea destination a few weeks prior).
A source tells People magazine, "They just drifted apart. They're both working hard on their careers and trying to raise a sweet baby together (that's usually meant to bring a couple closer together, no? I mean, why else do a load of people on the brink of break up bang out a child. It's a conversational tool if nothing else). They're still friends and they'll both raise Lucia together."
One can assume Oksana and the father of her other little earner - apologies - child, Timothy Dalton, have a similar "still friends and they'll both raise blah together" relationship.
Representatives for both Gibson and Grigorieva have yet to respond to the split reports. The latter is probably too busy negotiating a magazine deal.
