Potentially disasterous news for UFC fans this evening as reports surface that featherweight champion José Aldo fractured a rib in training and may not be able to partake in the upcoming UFC 189 against Conor McGregor.
According to Bloody Elbow, Aldo suffered an injury in training today while sparring and took a kick to the ribs which was revealed to have caused a fracture when examined by doctors.
Brazilian sports correspondant Ana Hissa broke the news on Twitter this evening.

Aldo vs. McGregor is the headline fight set to take place at UFC 189 in Las Vegas on July 11th, but many are speculating that the fight will not go ahead if such a serious injury is present. No official word from either Aldo or McGregor's team or UFC themselves but we'll update you as soon as we know.
