McDonald's is looking to change their image, which has meant adding a few new things to their menu and experimenting with new ingredients.

For the team at the world's biggest burger joint, the problem is that people have really turned away from processed foods in their droves, and that means that they're turning away from McDonald's in general.

So, in an effort to stay in with what the kids want to eat (i.e. real food), McDonalds have already announced that they'll be introducing fancy burgers and menu changes, one of which looks like it might be kale.

According to Nation's Restaurant NewsJanney Capital Markets Analyst Mark Kalinowski reckons that the "restaurant chain is planning to add kale as an ingredient in a [yet] to-be-named product" in a number of select stores in the US, and possibly further afield if it proves successful. A spokesperson for the chain refused to be drawn on the kale claims, but didn't rule it out either, saying "as we continue to listen to our customers, we're always looking at new and different ingredients that they may enjoy".

As Mother Jones point out, this ad about how they'll never make anything with kale in it doesn't look great now.
